Lampert writes, "Chelsea thieves market, Sunday morning. Overloaded front table, sunglasses, cell phones, Viagra (sold by the pill, $10), assorted hot goods. Inaccessible back table, more of same, two 35mm film cans marked BENETTON. 'Excuse me, what's in those cans?' 'Twenty dollars.' 'Is there film in the cans?' 'Twenty dollars.' 'No, I want to know what is in the cans.' 'Twenty dollars.' Twenty dollars later, four giant 16mm reels, 2 hours of color double-perforated reversal footage, three female models. An entire mid-90s ad campaign shoot obviously orphaned or cast away footage now, curiously, in my hands. BENETTON is the first installment in the ongoing imperfect series produced from an all too perfect source."
Berg: Lulu
Since its premiere on 2 June 1937 in Zurich, Alban Berg's second opera "Lulu" has the reputation of being surrounded by scandals. On the one hand, this is due to the dubious character of the subject, the man-eating femme fatale, which Berg had taken from Frank Wedekind's two Lulu tragedies – "The Earth Spirit" and "Pandora's Box" – and combined into one opera libretto. On the other hand, Berg's window had (for personal reasons) repeatedly refused to have the opera completed, which was unfinished when Berg died. This video is of the unfinished two-act torso of "Lulu."

Beijing 2003
Beijing 2003 is a video about the city that the artist lives in, and its people. Participants include assistants Liang Ye and Yang Zhichao, and driver Wu. The piece took 16 days to complete, starting on October 18, 2003. Beginning below the Dabeiyao highway interchange, the vehicle from which the video is shot travels every street within the 'fourth ring' of Beijing, one by one. Approximately 2,400 kilometers and 150 hours of footage later, it ends where it began: below the Dabeiyao highway interchange. Through the windshield, the camera objectively investigates all visual information that appears before the vehicle - the spatial state of the city's streets, the endlessly changing times, scenery, movements, behavior and other aspects - thoroughly, meticulously, and calmly recording the megacity of Beijing through a single lens. The sum of the entire process becomes the meaning of the work.

A young Scottish Jew dies in a bomb attack on an Israeli bus. At the hospital, his parents agree to an organ transplant and a little girl receives one of his kidneys. She is seven years old and … she is Palestinian. Yoni (Jonathan) Jesner had come to Israel for two years’ religious studies in a yashiva. Her was a brilliant student, very religious, yet he was open to the world and was always there for others. He wanted to become a doctor, but he died at only 19, in September 2002 – a victim of a bomb attack while he travelled by bus to Tel Aviv. He had still been alive on his arrival at the hospital, but he was soon declared brain-dead. The surgeons asked his parents to consider donating his organs for transplantation. At first, they hesitates, but after consulting with a Rabbi, they accepted.
