A Family Is a Family Is a Family: A Rosie O'Donnell Celebration

What is a family? Rosie O'Donnell looks at the many answers to this question in this documentary that features original songs and thoughtful kids musing on love and family. The show provides a less than moving portrait of the remarkable diversity of so called families today, including same-sex parents, mixed-heritage families, and stories of adoption. Animated songs and musical performances by kids and families spice up the festivities along with performances and recordings by artists including Ziggy Marley, Bonnie Raitt, Doris Day, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Frank Sinatra, Rosie O'Donnell and They Might Be Giants.

The William Tell Express

The William Tell Express is a panoramic boat and train line which crosses the Swiss Alps from north to south, linking two of Switzerland's stunning regions. Starting out from the city of Lucern, the journey then takes to the waters of Lake Lucern by paddle boat before entering the Reuss Valley. It continues through the Leventina valley before arriving at its destination at Locarno and Lugano.

The Women's Colloquium in Liberia

Hundreds of African women and international delegates joined Liberian president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to strategize about how women leaders can help bring a lasting peace. In March 2009, women leaders from around the world met in Monrovia, Liberia for the International Colloquium for Women's Empowerment, Leadership Development, International Peace and Security. The conference had first been proposed at the inauguration of Liberian president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the only female head of state in Africa. This short film captures the energy of the event, where 800 female participants gathered to envision a new era of peace and gender equality in Africa and beyond.
