The Last Famel
Film directed in 2009 by Jorge Montereal, shot in Águeda with the participation of José Carlos Pereira, Pedro Anjo, Ana Brito and Cunha. A very Portuguese comedy a little nostalgic around a Famel XF17. This comedy is reminiscent of one of the most iconic national motorcycles that in the 1960s / 80s dominated the sales market in Portugal.
Tokyo/Glow
Written and directed by Jonathan Bensimon and produced by Jonas Bell Pasht, Tokyo/Glow follows the nighttime journey of an illuminated man from a crosswalk sign as he embarks on an adventure through the streets of Tokyo. Shot on location throughout Tokyo using thousands of individual digital stills, the short film features original music by indie rock band Kidstreet, who recently signed with Nettwerk Records and will be releasing their debut album worldwide in 2010.
Version Vera
A film about Vera Mukhina (1889-1953) based on the diaries of the outstanding Riga-born sculptress who studied in Paris with Rodin’s pupil Bourdelle, the master of European sculpture. At the 1937 Paris World Exposition, Mukhina presents her monumental sculptural ensemble Worker and Peasant Woman. Weighing 75 tons and 53metres high, it becomes a sensation. Mukhina truly believes in human ideas, and this is successfully used by the USSR propaganda machine.
