Another: The Other - Inga

Shortly before the start of a new semester, Misaki Fujioka visits her twin sister Mei Misaki in Yomiyama City. The girls make full use of the last days of summer, roaming around a heat-weary town and visiting various places including a shopping center and shooting stall. When they prowl around her basement, Mei expresses uneasiness about her new class, which is said to be cursed. Craving more entertainment, the twins decide to pay a visit to the local amusement park. But the leisure of a sleepy summer day could soon turn woeful as Mei sees the color of death on her sister—an unmistakable omen that a tragedy is bound to strike.

Eri comes across a novel way to protect Mitsuko: find a cursed funerary urn that contains ashes reputed to cause death and give said ashes to teacher.

SEEBESTATTUNG (Burial at Sea) is the story about the development of a forbidden love between the teenage siblings Larissa and Fabian. After the death of their father, the two are left with an inseparable mixture of love, guilt, and loss. The film is to show the emotional turmoil of naive teenagers and, in a erotic-romantic way, sheds light on one of the last taboos in our society: incest.

My House

Suzumoto and Sumi creatively master their independent lives while living in a park in Nagoya. In contrast, a middle-class family is caught up in pressure and routine. The two threads of the story gradually intertwine, until a tragic escalation occurs. Shot with a black-and-white documentary feel, yet highly stylized, the film analyzes the contradictions and pathologies of modern society.

Pachelbel Canon - Acoustica - The AIX All Star Band

The AIX All Star is made up of some of the best studio musicians in Los Angeles including Laurence Juber (ex-Wings guitarist), Carl Verheyen (Supertramp guitarist), Jim Cox, Cliff Hugo, Alberto Lopez and John Ferraro. When I reviewed the AIX Records Audio Calibration Disc / HD Music Sampler earlier this year, I mentioned that the innovative company would soon have full-length Blu-ray Discs to satisfy our eyes and ears, and that promise has now come to pass. Pachelbel Canon Acoustica is one of two new Blu-ray releases from AIX, the other being Chamber Music Palisades -- Shostakovich / Debussy / Brockman. For Pachelbel Canon Acoustica, the virtuoso AIX All Star Band played a 45-minute improvised set of variations on the chord changes established in the famous Canon by the baroque composer Pachelbel. The main idea was to use elements and styles from electronic composition but to record the instruments acoustically.
