Irma (Claudia Gerini), Eugenia (Angela Finocchiaro), Miranda (Caterina Guzzanti) and Rina (Paola Minaccioni) are four different women, each with their own character, their own weaknesses and their own eccentricities, but linked by a deep and lasting knowledge over time, united and marked by their essential card games. When they decide to participate in a national buraco tournament and get out of their everyday life, they will suddenly find themselves with their cards exposed. Life always offers a second chance and love can go back to upsetting at any age. After all, it is the game of burraco that has taught him that a game must be played completely, to the end, and that no result is ever taken for granted.
Giannis and Paris celebrate the Day of the Dead, also their anniversary, at their Latin American café-teatral. A crossroad where beloved people meet, lonely next door people, strange travellers. Their stories are intertwined, the past meets the present, music and dancing transform reality. As the night falls and the celebration reaches its ecstatic peak, the café becomes a small Arc, travelling beyond space and time, filled with memories, wishes, and revelations. 50 actors, musicians and dancers take part in the film.

Headstrong girl Kenza lives with her father Ouira and grandfather Weljo on a car wrecking yard in the countryside of Curaçao. The two men are opposites that don't particularly attract: Ouira is a determined and rational police officer, while Weljo identifies with the original inhabitants and spirituality of the island. As Weljo wishes to prepare his passing to the world of spirits, the relationship between Ouira en Weljo starts to escalate and the eleven-year-old Kenza searches for her own path in-between the two extremes. The down-to-earth and avoidant mentality of Ouira no longer offers her all that she needs and slowly she opens up to the more mystical and comforting traditions of her grandfather.
In City Deep, the “zama zama” miners and the landscape merge into artworks hanging in the Johannesburg Art Gallery, itself built during the heyday of gold mining in Johannesburg. Wandering the exhibition spaces is a deeply contemplative Soho Eckstein, gazing at the artworks and into vitrines. Towards the end of the film the gallery collapses in on itself, an imagined demise of an institution in a state of increasing dereliction.
